Natural Search has long been the key part of search engine results, with a majorty of search engine traffic going via this route. Some sites out there claim that 70% of search engine traffic is via natural results, while others claim its more like 60%. However, this does depend on the site. For instance some brand sites may do short term camapigns that rely almost solely on paid search. But with natural search we are talking long term, so your overall brand, and not its short term microsite about a special offer.

Our Natural Search work can include:

- Domain research: If new, whats the right one to pick, if already live, lets make sure its set up right. For example, if you own a misspelling of your brand domain, why not forward it over so that any users who misspell your link don't make you lose any traffic.

 

- Technical audit: How are those URL's? Is the navigation Search Friendly? Any Stray pages? How do you avoid getting any error links? Are you hosted in the country you want to target? Doesn't matter how good the on-page SEO is if you can't get the foundation right!

 

- Keyword research: No point ranking well for something if no one looks for it. So what are they looking for, and whos going after those terms. Can we rank for those terms, or is there no chance. (for example: this site will never rank fo the termr "car insurance", even if we put that keyword all over our site!)

 

- Competitor audit: Why are the sites ranked ahead of you doing so? Remember, with natural search algorithms and formulas, there is ALWAYS A REASON why sites are ranked ahead of yours. Getting a better idea of their tactics can help paint the picture regarding why.

 

- Web page optimization: The usual suspects of Title tags, URL/page names, Descriptions, ALT's, Header tags, link text within your site, navigation, sitemapping and prioritizing.

 

- Content optimization: Does the page itself feature the right terminology, related to what the user is seeking? At the same time, no one wants to see a page with the same word over and over again.

 

- Link building: Who's linking to your site? How are they linking there? Can we find other places that would link to you? If not, lets give them a reason to link your way, be it interesting content, unique features, or the ability to get your word out first via such avenues as social media.

 

- Revisions / Freshness / Alertness: Trends change. Algorithms change. Make sure your site keeps up with these changes. And look around you, what are the competitors doing? Is it a good strategy, or are they taking an unwise risk?

 

While an effective SEO campaign does take a few months to reap full benefits, and natural search offers no guarantees of a first page ranking for every term, using ethical SEO strategies can make your site visible across a wide range of terms in the long run.
